We are open Wednesday to Sunday from 11am to 3pm. Please stay tuned for important updates for special event hours.


Reservations and strongly recommended for afternoon tea.


We believe the ritual of afternoon tea is for everyone! We do not have a dress code but many of our customers use afternoon tea as a moment to express themselves with personal style.


Yes, we have vegan and gluten free options with at least 48 hours notice.


We unfortunately cannot make accommodations for nut allergies. While we avoid peanuts in general, we cannot guarantee that every item is nut free.


Afternoon tea is a ritual, highly curated behind the scenes often weeks before the customer enters the door. Because of the amount of prep needed for this type of service which differs greatly from casual dining, we do not allow substitutions. If there is an allergy or dietary restriction, we ask that you give us at least 48 hours notice in your booking, which allows our chef to make adjustments if possible.


Groups larger than 6 are required to book via email.  We are unable to do separate checks for large groups.

Reservations/Booking

To secure your booking a deposit of 50% is required. All booking requests that have not been paid a deposit are defined as tentative and dates & time slots cannot be guaranteed. Example, if another party books the same date, requests the same time and pays their deposit 1st you would then lose your tentative booking.

Once you receive your proposal and the deposit is paid your booking will be confirmed and you will be emailed a receipt.

Deposits apply to the total purchase.

The balance must be paid in full at least 7 days prior to your event, unless other arrangements have been made in writing with The Hen and Drake Modern Tearoom.

Refunds

The Hen and Drake Modern Tearoom will refund the entire purchase amount if we are unable to provide our services. This clause does not cover client-initiated cancellations. If The Hen and Drake Modern Tearoom is unable to provide services (or part of) due to extenuating or unforeseen circumstances, clients may not make any claim other then a full refund of deposit.
